HELPING OUR HOMELESS TEENS, ONE STITCH AT A TIME.
"Keeping Kids Warm" was founded by Donna Atkinson-Wilson in March, 2003.
"As a tribute to my dear grandmother and my mother who kept me warm and safe all these years, I wanted to share these great feelings with needy kids."
"This venture was started as a tribute to my mother and grandmother. It involves knitting mitts, hats, scarves, and headbands for the street youths in London, Ontario."
"I am also doing this for all the parents who don't know where their children are. This is my way of trying to help keep their kids warm."
"The mandate for my project is to establish this program in as many communities as needed. I feel that with the right support and strong determination I can help alot of people, maybe even help them get off the street. I will not give up on this idea, everyone should know how important it is to "KEEP KIDS WARM!"
